Distance Duet is a multi act dance-opera and de-creation myth playing out over different times in distant locations. These pieces can be viewed on their own, but are conceived as a living diptych.
Los Angeles Philharmonic presents Distance Duet on February 1, 2025 at the Los Angeles Central Library.
The first workshops of the piece took place on November 22+23, 2024 in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms, CA.
Created and composed by Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs. High Desert presentations co-directed with Ryan Heffington + High Desert Choir choreography by Caroline Partamian.
